Corpus Christi at St Barnabas: Gabs Conducts and Plays for Choral Celebration
Corpus Christi at St Barnabas: Choral Celebration Marks Feast Day
Yesterday, St Barnabas’ Church, Oxford, celebrated the Feast of Corpus Christi with a richly musical liturgy led by Gabs, who conducted the choir and accompanied on the organ throughout the service.
The programme featured a congregational Mass setting, a selection of beautiful motets, and well-loved hymns shared by choir and congregation alike. The music enhanced the solemnity and joy of Corpus Christi, a significant feast in the Church calendar and one that holds particular importance for this High Anglican community.
Through sensitive direction and accomplished organ playing, Gabs helped shape a worshipful and uplifting celebration, bringing together choir and congregation in a memorable observance of the feast.
