Since the age of 12, Gabs has played the organ for church services, accompanying choirs and soloists and complementing the liturgy in Roman Catholic, Anglican and other denominations. His experience includes being a Church Music Scholar at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea (2001-2) and the first Italian Organ Scholar at Westminster Cathedral, London (2002-2003), where he worked with extraordinary musicians as well as world-famous choirs.

Active internationally.

For two decades, he served as the Chapel Organist for the St Edward's School  Choirs, among others, touring extensively across iconic cities such as Florence, Venice, Vienna, New York City, and Washington, D.C.

He actively performs as an organist at a variety of prestigious venues in the UK, including The Queen's College, Oxford, Westminster Abbey, St John's Smith Square, St Paul's Cathedral in London, Salisbury Cathedral, St Peter Mancroft in Norwich, Ely Cathedral, and Dunblane in Scotland.

His performances extend widely throughout Europe, where he has collaborated in a trio with violin and flute in Germany (Leipzig and Erfurt) and has appeared as a solo recitalist in stunning churches across the Czech Republic, including those in České Budějovice and Prague.

In October 2025, he took on the prestigious role of President of the Jury for the Chieri International Music Competition, further underscoring his quietly-expanding international acclaim.

Organ playing for all occasions.

Gabs offers organ playing for a wide range of events and services, providing music that is thoughtfully chosen and sensitively performed. Equally at ease with high-church services and more relaxed occasions, Gabs adapts his playing to suit the character of the event, the venue, and the wishes of those involved, ensuring the music enhances the overall atmosphere.

He frequently uses liturgical improvisation, a skill he was able to learn about while working at Westminster Cathedral (2002-3).

Two Hands and Two Feet - J. S. Bach's Trio Sonata no 1 BWV 525 (i)

Watch Gabs come to terms with J. S. Bach’s Trio Sonata No. 1 in E♭. It is a demanding work of intricate counterpoint, requiring serious coordination of three independent voices and exceptional control to maintain balance, clarity, and rhythmic precision.
