Gabs returns to Exeter College
Once again, Gabs has been asked to play the organ for the traditional service of Evensong for three Friday nights in term-time.
Brought to life by the rich sound of the chapel’s French-style Walker organ and set in a calm and atmospheric space, this short service offers a chance to pause, reflect, and enjoy some exceptional live music.
The Chapel Choir will perform much-loved settings of Magnificat and Nunc dimittis full of warmth and colour. Alongside the choral music and the congregational hymns, Gabs will play organ voluntaries by French Romantic composers, showcasing the instrument’s full range—from quiet, reflective tones to bold, resonant passages.
Whether you come for the music, the moment of stillness, or simply to experience something a little different, Evensong is open to all. No prior knowledge or belief is needed—just take a seat and let the music do the rest.
